Understanding Pre-Owned Condition Grading: What Each Grade Really Means

Why Condition Grading Matters

When shopping pre-owned luxury, condition is everything. A bag graded "Excellent" and one graded "Very Good" can look similar in photos but feel very different in person. At Luxe Vault, we use a clear, consistent grading system so you always know exactly what you're buying, with no surprises when your order arrives.

Our Condition Grades Explained

Brand New / Pristine

This item has never been used and shows absolutely no signs of wear. It may or may not come with original packaging, tags, or dust bag, which will be noted in the listing. These are pieces that were purchased and never carried, a rare find in the pre-owned market.

Excellent

The item is in near-perfect condition with minimal to no visible signs of use. You may find the faintest trace of wear on hardware or corners upon very close inspection, but the piece looks and feels virtually new.

Very Good

The item shows light signs of use consistent with careful ownership. This may include minor scuffs on corners, light wear on hardware, or slight softening of the leather. These details are noted in the listing and do not affect the beauty or functionality of the piece.

Good

The item shows moderate signs of use and has been loved. There may be visible wear on corners, handles, or hardware, and the interior may show light marks. These pieces are priced to reflect their condition and are ideal for everyday use without worry.

How We Assess Condition

Every item is graded by our authentication team under consistent lighting and against standardized references. We photograph all notable wear points and include them in the listing images, what you see is exactly what you get. We never retouch or filter our product photos to hide flaws.

Condition & Pricing

Condition directly affects price. A Brand New piece commands a premium, while a Good condition item offers exceptional value for a buyer who wants the luxury experience at a lower entry point. All grades represent authentic, verified pieces, the difference is purely cosmetic.
